Sports Injuries
The foot and ankle are frequently injured in sports. Ankle instability (loose ankle) with recurrent ankle sprains, anterior and posterior ankle impingement, osteochondral lesions of the talus, navicular stress fractures, turf toe and Lisfranc injuries are the most common sports related injuries. Dr. H’s extensive training and experience in trauma surgery and sports surgery makes him very well trained to look after your injury. Most of these injuries require advanced MRI or CT imaging and specific surgical techniques. Many require the use of an arthroscope (mini camera). Dr. H is skilled and experienced with the arthroscope and uses new and evolving Nano Arthroscopy for even smaller surgical incisions. Dr. H’s athletic history allows him to understand the physical and emotional pain of your injury and the importance of getting you back to play as quickly as possible!
